We are covering the Gingerbread Man topic this term.We spoke with the children about how the story could end differently so the Gingerbread Man didn’t get eaten. We did an experiment to see why the he couldn’t swim across the river. The children found the biscuit went soggy and broke. One of the children suggested finding a boat.
The children were set a home learning project to design and make a boat for the Gingerbread Man to cross the river so that he isn’t eaten by the hungry fox. The boat had to float and prizes were given to the best entries.
Mrs Edwards judged the competition and we had three star prize winners. All other children that took part received a runners up prize.
