This half-term Y3 have been learning all about the Stone Age in Britain. They have really enjoyed immersing themselves in Stone Age life, learning about how people lived and survived during that time.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our trips. Creswell Crags allowed us to sit in a Stone Age cave as well as seeing artefacts and fossils from the time period. We even got to make our own Stone Age shelter. Our visit to Sheffield Cathedral linked well with our work in science and RE. We really appreciated the awe and wonder that came from the stain-glass windows and the building itself.
We have enjoyed reading Stone Age Boy, Ug: Boy Genius of the Stone Age and Pebble in My Pocket. We are also excited for the ‘100 Books’ project that has provided some wonderful reads for our class.
